The Early Empty Net

The Coyotes were losing by two with a little under 5 minutes left against the Blues.  The Coyotes had a two-man advantage and interim head coach Rick Tocchet pulled the goaltender (Brian Boucher at the time) to give the Yotes a three-man advantage, something you certainly don’t see often, especially with that much time left.  The move paid off, as the Coyotes scored to close the gap to one.

Update: The Blues hang on to win the game 5-4.

Scott Parker is back tonight.  Due to injuries, he’s only played one game this season.  He scored his first goal of the season tonight, 3:27 into the game against the Ducks.  He had 5 career goals going into tonight.

Update: Posted a clip of Parker’s goal on hockeyfights.com’s video page.
