NHL Linesman Stephane Provost Killed in Crash

NHL linesman Stephane Provost died today after his motorcycle crashed into the back of a truck.

Around 3:30 a.m., Provost was traveling west on State Road 84 when he hit the rear of a semi, a Broward County Sheriff’s report said. The motorcycle immediately burst into flames and fell on Provost, who was not wearing a helmet. He was declared dead at the scene.

Provost is survived by his wife, Sandra, and daughters Ashley and Reily. Funeral arrangements have not been finalized, the league said.
