Kumar Gets 12

Former Computer Associates CEO and part owner of the NY Islanders, Sanjay Kumar was sentenced to 12 years in prison and given an $8 million fine.

He was involved in a $2.2 billion accounting fraud at CA.

What made him do it?  Well, from the article:

Prosecutors said Kumar’s fondness for luxury and a desire to buy part ownership of the New York Islanders hockey team spurred the scheme.

Criminal or just an overzealous hockey fan?

For the record, that’s three years less than Rick Dipietro.
