HDNet Comes to Canada, No Celebrating Yet
According to Digital Home Pipeline, Rogers in Ontario and New Brunswick has added HDNet to its lineup.
HDNet is also home to some NHL hockey games. They’re some of the best broadcasts out there, as I’ve mentioned before.
However, I’m not sure HDNet has national rights to air NHL games in Canada, so I’m not sure if games will air or be blacked out. I hope to have an answer soon, if anyone has any additional information, feel free to leave it here or drop me a line.
Update Nov 14 1135pm: Here’s the word on HDNet and games in Canada: the games won’t be show on HDNet itself, but they will be on Centre Ice HD on Rogers. They’ve done this for a few games before, but none this season.
