Darren Langdon’s Quiet Exit

Darren Langdon‘s season and NHL career are most likely over according him via The Telegram.

Langdon, back home in Deer Lake after appearing in just 14 games with the New Jersey Devils this season, puts it plainly when asked if there is a chance he’ll play in another big-league game.

“No. I’d say I’m done,” said the 35-year-old left-winger, who has dressed for 521 NHL games, far more than any other Newfoundland born-and-raised player.

The article is chock full of Langdon quotes.  Just honest answers about this season and the possibility of a future in the NHL.  He’s rarely taken a negative tone in the past, and doesn’t now, despite being home while games are still being played.  It might sound great to be home and getting paid for it, but I’m sure he’d rather be playing.
