Avery Must Have Been Thinking in French
Sean Avery had this beauty of a quote in the preseason when speaking about a hit Denis Gauthier put on Jeremy Roenick:
“I think it was typical of most French guys in our league with a visor on, running around and playing tough and not back anything up.”
The Kings played the Predators last night and Avery shoved Nashville star (been waiting to use that) Paul Kariya from behind into the boards. It could have been a boarding call, but nothing was called. Shortly after that hit Darcy Hordichuk found Avery.
Way to back it up.
I made sure to check again, and yup, he wasn’t wearing a visor. I can only assume he was thinking in French *
