  1. Hey David,

Wasn’t Miller on the IR when the team was selected?

  2. Was he?  I remember he was injured early in the season (November to mid-December).  He played solidly around the Olympic break.  SI has his injury list too.

Perhaps something else is slipping my mind, but I thought he was simply passed over.

Here’s a game recap from Feb 2 that even calls his taxi squad appointment a snub.

Hindsight is 20/20, but it’s not like he hasn’t been playing well all season.

  3. Agreed, and I remember being annoyed at first because he wasn’t selected over either Grahame or Esche, but then I remember feeling better about it after realizing he was injured (though IMHO DiPietro did a fine job).

    For what it’s worth:

“Miller, injured when the team was picked in December, was kept home as an injury reserve, even though he played the best in the weeks leading up to the Olympics.”
